Bringing joy through bright colours, bold shapes and black AND white patterns

HELLO!

I'm Coco Lom and I'm a multidisciplinary artist from east London.

As a pattern seeker, colour lover, shadow chaser and stripe enthusiast, I’m on a mission to help people find the joy in these quiet details we might not normally notice.

I do this through photography, print, murals, public art, workshops, partnerships, playful events and more.

Commissions and partnerships

Are you a brand or company looking to stand out and enhance your campaign, product or event? I’ve worked with small independent brands and some of the world’s biggest companies to boost engagement and interest through my colourful and playful world - from an immersive installation for Disney’s 100th anniversary, to an illustrated gut health campaign for Health and Wellbeing multinational, Holland & Barrett.

Installations and Events

Got a space or planning an event and want to add some creativity and playful activities? Whether it’s to bring your community together or attract a new audience, I’ve created pop-up events and venue take-overs (from an art ping-pong table to pattern projections in nightclubs), creating togetherness and bringing your space alive.

WORKSHOPS

In a variety of different settings, I guide groups through eye-opening activities. My workshops are celebrated for inspiring awe and wonder - from engaging people with the rhythms and patterns in music, the colours found in nature, or the architectural shapes within our city. I feel passionate about encouraging playfulness and creativity in people of all ages and abilities - it’s about enjoying the process rather than the outcome! Your group or visitors will come away with a new way of seeing the world through its shapes, patterns, textures and colours, along with their own colourful artworks created in the sessions.

'It was an absolute joy to collaborate with Coco Lom for a very vibrant Clerkenwell Design Week 24. From concept to delivery we were fully engaged and couldn't have been more on point to time and budget. Parkside had such a great response that we doubled showroom traffic and I would wholeheartedly recommend working with Coco Lom.'

Steve Stroud, Senior Marketing Manager at Parkside

'I invited Coco Lom to run a guest workshop on the theme of Colour for my programme Creative Quests. From the initial planning call right through to the workshop itself, her passion for colour and pattern really shone through. She took the framework I use and made it her own in a completely playful and ambitious way. It's no mean feat to have 30 people in different places around the world fully tuned in, inspired and creating together. Coco Lom blends a bit of storytelling, some science and lots of playfulness to create a space that made a positive ripple effect for everyone in attendance - including myself!'

Sam Furness, Founder of Channel Twelve and Creative Quests

'Working with Coco Lom was a complete pleasure! Her thoughtful and creative approach made the collaboration feel seamless and inspiring from beginning to end. Always willing to go the extra mile to expand the project's creative potential, she partnered with Louisa Tan to deliver a vibrant and engaging workshop that beautifully fused collage and music, offering participants a joyful, multi-sensory experience.'

India Stanbra, Events and Exhibitions Coordinator at NOW Gallery

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is a big part of my work, and is often the starting point for my design projects. Over the years, I’ve built up an archive of hundreds of photos - from dancing shadows on sunny walks in New York, to bright yellow stacks of bananas at fruit markets in Spain.
